Staking rewards - both those earned from network activity and Bootstrap rewards - are distributed as Vortex tokens (VTX).

Vortex tokens represent the accumulation of network fees on The Root Network and, during the first 260 weeks of the Staking protocol, will also include ROOT for Bootstrap rewards.

The infographic below represents the compatible tokens at the time of this article's writing, but the system is designed to support any number of tokens that may be added to the network to support the various projects that will come to exist on The Root Network in the future.
