If your chosen Web3 wallet supports the ability to add custom networks and you would like to add The Root Network (TRN) to your wallet, you can do so in one of the following ways:
For MetaMask users:
The simplest way to add TRN to your wallet is to visit Rootscan - the TRN block explorer - and scroll to the bottom of any page where you will see an "Add to MetaMask" button. Simply click this button which will prompt your MetaMask wallet for you to approve adding the custom network
For users of other EVM compatible Web3 wallets:
Option 1
Navigate to The Root Network on Chainlist and connect your wallet which will enable you to add TRN to your wallet with minimal effort
Please note: Chainlist.org is a legitimate resource and considered generally reliable, but it's up to you as the wallet holder to verify the URL and connection request details before signing to ensure you're not giving permission to a malicious actor.
Option 2
Manually enter the network information;
EVM RPC
Chain ID
7668
Currency
XRP
Explorer
Adding the ROOT token
As the native gas token of TRN is XRP, the available XRP balance will be recognized by default. To add the ROOT token, open the "Add Custom Token" flow for your chosen wallet and paste in the ROOT Token address;
0xcCcCCccC00000001000000000000000000000000
The token tracker and decimal information should all populate automatically. You can use this same process to add any token that exists on TRN to your browser wallet, token addresses can be found on Rootscan
Note: This process will allow you to access balances and transactions for your EOA (a copy of your Ethereum network address created on TRN when you create your FuturePass), it is not currently possible to import, view or use your FuturePass directly from a browser extension/mobile Web3 wallet
